Keep it to one page, use one clean font, and put your most recent role first. Use numbers when you honestly have them.

How It Works

A strong resume is concise, easy to scan and focused on results. This free resume builder gives you a simple form for your contact details, professional summary, work experience, education and skills, and renders a clean one-page layout as you type. The design uses a classic serif font, clear section headings and plenty of white space, which also works well with applicant tracking systems.

Start with your name, job title and contact information, then write a two-sentence summary that explains who you are and what you do best. For each job, add your title, employer, dates and achievement bullets — one per line. The most effective bullets start with a strong action verb and include a measurable result, such as “Reduced onboarding time by 30%” or “Managed a $1.2M budget.” Add your education and a list of skills separated by commas, and the preview formats them automatically.

When you are finished, click Print / Save as PDF and choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog to create a file you can upload to job sites or email. Nothing leaves your browser: the information you type is processed locally and is not stored on our servers.

Resume tips: tailor the summary and skills to each job description, use standard section names recruiters expect, keep recent roles detailed and older roles brief, and proofread carefully for typos. Avoid photos, tables and graphics if you are applying through an online system. For most applicants, one page is ideal; use the “Remove” buttons to drop older jobs if your content spills onto a second page. Always make sure your email address looks professional and your phone number is correct.

Assumptions and limits
